Why shouldn’t you skip the warm-up and stretching in your insane workout?

In this post I am going to describe two essential exercises in all Insanity training, in which you should not first underestimate their importance for your own safety, and in order to perform the workouts in the most efficient way, they are warming up and cooling down by stretching.

Heating:

Said this way, I am a 20 year old male, and while doing the exercise in the warm up I checked my heart rate and it was 165 bpm (beats per minute), this according to medical data is about 85% of my maximum heart rate Total, and believe it or not, I was still in the warm-up phase, the actual exercises hadn’t even started yet. During the actual workouts itself, I took a lot of breaks in between, but that’s completely normal for anyone doing the exercise for the first time, as the instructor (Shaun T) says.

The following bullets mention the plyometric cardio circuit warm-up exercises, do these exercises 3 times, with no brakes in between, and make sure to start slowly, then each time you complete this interval you push yourself harder, until you reach the 3rd. interval in which you try your best.

  • Jog
  • Jumping jacks
  • Heisman
  • 123
  • Butt kicks
  • High knees
  • Mummy kicks

Once you have completed these 3 intervals, you should sweat a lot, and that is the main goal of the warm-up, is to prepare your muscles and lean them for the following crazy exercises, in order to prevent injuries. You can now take a sip of water for 30 seconds, but remember that you must not stop moving.

Cooling stretch:

The second part of this short post is the cool down stretch, many people either overlook this part of the workout or don’t get it right, but I think it is a very essential exercise after the intense exercises you do in the Insanity workout. It is medically recommended that if you are doing some kind of strenuous exercise for a long period of time, it is not good that after finishing it you stop immediately.

Many people think that stretching is only important before exercising, but stretching should be done before and after training. Stretching is important to prevent muscle cramps, because after exercising your muscles are very hot and the muscles cannot immediately return to their normal temperature, it takes time, and in this time you should do some kind of gentle exercise, and not just Because stretching is an easy part of training, it should be omitted.
