What I hate about the fitness industry and what is the best form of exercise for you

There is one thing I can’t stand about the fitness industry:

It’s full of bitches. (Ironically, now I’m going crazy, ha! Hey, if you can’t beat them, join them!)

Regardless, there are a ton of different forms of exercise that you can do. Literally shades.

First of all, you have weight training in the gym. So that can be further divided into many “mini-categories”. For example, you have a bodybuilding style workout, you have Olympic lifting (no prizes for guessing that’s what they do at the … * drum roll * … Olympics!). You also have weight lifting as well as strongman type training. Oh, and how could I forget about CrossFit too?

And if you want to go even deeper, you can divide these 4 categories even further.

Anyway, we will move on from weightlifting. Let’s look at some other types of exercise …

So you also have cardio training, which, like weight training, can obviously be further divided. You have running, biking, rowing, circuit training. Literally too many options to even think about, let alone write them down.

So you have to play a sport.

And there are also things like yoga and pilates.

So the point is this: there are literally a LOT of ways you can exercise.

But the one thing I hate about the fitness industry is that many people criticize any form of exercise other than their own. They say it is “wrong”. They say his way is the best way for a mile.

Do you know what I say to these people?

Shut!.

Blunt? Yes.

But do they deserve it? Again, yes. Look, the western world is overweight. I don’t have to tell you. So surely we should encourage everyone to do any form of exercise, no matter what it is.

But for some people, seeing people exercise in a different way than yours actually bothers them. Pathetic, isn’t it? I mean, the amount of people who train in the gym style of bodybuilding who look down on crossfitters is unbelievable.

Look, I’ve never done CrossFit in my life. It’s perfect. No. There is a much higher risk of injury (especially for beginners) compared to most other forms of training.

But, having said that, does it seem like fun? Yes!

Does it make people gasp and sweat? Yes!

And do you get people to get great fitness results, while helping them tone them up? Again, absolutely!

So I don’t understand why so many people talk bad about it.

Anyway, to end this, I want to say this:

Take a form of exercise that you ENJOY.

That is literally my friend.

Don’t let Bob go to the gym, Steve next door, or tell me what kind of exercise you should be doing.

Just do something that you stick to.

Of course, if you want to be a bodybuilder, you will have to go to the gym and start lifting weights. Going for a long distance run won’t get you there!

But if you just want to tone up, lose weight, and get in shape to have more energy and look and feel better, then do something you enjoy.

Simple.
