The Love of God – Battle Weapon for a Sure Victory

I have prayed for years and God still has not answered. This thing about faith, does it really work? Many people who had the same challenge, but for a shorter period, have shared their testimonies; I really think? These thoughts and many more may have crossed your mind and you are wondering how to remain in faith until you experience your victory. This article gives you the battle weapon to use, which is the love of God.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son…” John 3:16 (KJV) Also Romans 8:32 (KJV) says: “He who spared not his own Son, but spared him gave us all for us, how will he not also give us all things with him?” Furthermore, Isaiah 49:15 (KJV) says, “Can a woman forget what she gave birth to, that she have no mercy on the son of her husband? belly? Yes, they can forget, but I will not forget you.”

The above scriptures make it clear that God loves us and that He will give us all things free of charge. To reinforce his level of love for us, he compared it to a mother’s love. It is very difficult for a mother to forget her nursing child. And God says that even if a woman forgets her own child, He Himself will NEVER forget her own child.

Therefore, no matter the challenge, remember God’s love for you. It is a battle weapon to use when the enemy floods your thoughts with doubts. The mind is the battlefield, win in your mind and victory is yours. So when these thoughts come, open your mouth and declare that God will grant your heart’s desire according to his word because he loves you. The enemy, the devil, cannot bear words spoken in faith, Luke 21:15.

Our earthly parents will always give their children what they want as long as it is good for them and they have it to give. Even if the father does not have it right away to give to the child, he will plan how to do so in the near future. Like earthly parents, God wants to give us the desires of our hearts. The good news is that God ALWAYS has everything to give. All He wants is for us to remain in faith until we see the manifestation of our desire.

Can you imagine a father refusing to give his son he loves what he really needs? If his answer is NO, then rest assured that your heavenly father much more cannot do it. Matthew 7:11 says, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?”

The love of God as a combat weapon allows you to combat all doubts. An understanding of your heavenly Father’s love for you will help you believe that what God said He will surely do. He can’t watch his son being chastised for a dare and not do something about it. Delay is not denial and God will work all things together for your good.

When I was reproached for childlessness, all sorts of thoughts ran through my mind for many years. But whenever such thoughts surfaced, one battle weapon I always employed was God’s love for me. Sometimes I wouldn’t be sure of my faith in anything else but I would be of God’s love for me. I believed that his love would show me mercy and grant me my heart’s desire and I declared it to myself and others whenever I had the opportunity to do so. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I was sure that his love would do it for me anyway.

This security allowed me to spend twelve childless years with joy and peace. It strengthened me and even brought me closer to God. She had great hope that she would indeed be a happy mother of children. Today I am a mother. My father did not fail me and He will not fail you either. No matter the challenge, he wields this battle weapon and victory will be his.
