Simac is once again an Italian ice cream maker, but it only has one model in its line. It’s actually pretty good, and it’s our favorite fridge because of the convenience it offers. Simac also manufactures its machines in stainless steel, although its boat is made of aluminum inside. Only the outer drum is stainless steel. The Simac Gerato is a fully integrated fridge, which means that it comes with an integrated refrigeration unit. This means that there is no need to pre-freeze. You just put the mix in, press the button and wait. The Gelato also comes with a stainless steel outer trough and an aluminum inner container. The only problem is that they come in only one size and that is a 1 quart capacity. This can be much smaller than even the countertop ones, but since they don’t need to be pre-frozen, you can always make the second batch right after the first if you need more.

The Gelato also comes with an automatic shut off if the batch gets too rough and has very easy to use controls. For a small family, this is probably the best option, as it gives you enough ice cream without having to wait a day for it.

Simac has been around for a long time and makes really good ice cream machines.
