Shave with a Magnum Persona razor
Shaving is an integral part of the daily routine for us men, or at least for most of us. We want a close, clean shave with a good razor. We need a razor that glides across our skin and never catches on any part of our face. We hate nicks and scratches because the face is so sensitive. It could also take a while before a cut stops bleeding. So we want top quality razor blades and Personna’s razor blades definitely deliver.
The latest line of Personna razor blades ups the ante with five titanium-plated blades. Four sheets doesn’t seem to be enough, so they added one more. Hey, the more the merrier, right? It’s supposed to give you a closer shave. I am referring to the M5 Magnum, designed to offer the best value for money in men’s shaving. Well, that’s what they say anyway. We will find out very soon.
The design of the M5 Magnum Personna razor blade is very similar to that of the Gillette Fusion. They both have the five blade design and both handles look very similar except for the part where you press to release or load the blade cartridge and it is very ergonomic and fits perfectly in the hand with just the right amount of balance and weight. Even the cartridges look so much alike. From the lubrication strip, micro comb, comfort guard, and trimmer, the only thing that sets them apart at first glance is the difference in color. The Magnum has an orange bar while the Fusion has a blue one. Both have titanium-coated blades, but the Magnum appears thinner. I guess when it comes to good design, ideas meet at a certain point.
The Magnum doesn’t work like the Fusion, and it would have been great if it did because it would help the shaving experience. But this isn’t too bad as the price is considerably lower than the Fusion, general package and replacement cartridges. Performance wise the magnum performs excellently and goes down as one of the best razors I have ever used. It glides smoothly and it only took one hit to remove all the stubble in its path, though if you compare the glide of the magnum and the Fusion, the Fusion comes out with a bit of an advantage. This advantage, however, has a considerable price advantage.
So all in all, the Personna M5 Magnum razor blade is highly recommended for a fast and comfortable shave.
