Rwenzori Mountain – Uganda

In the western region of Uganda lies an extraordinarily amazing historical geographical feature and that is none other than the Rwenzori Mountain. A mountain of blocks that separates Uganda from the Democratic Republic of the Congo “commonly known as Congo” in the western wing and has lived since time immemorial, before explorers, and is one of the great natural treasures of Uganda that define the beauty and the beauty of the country. her embrace as the “pearl of Africa”.

When early explorers were told of the snow-topped mountain, they went down it to clean up nonsense, but history has sucked them in! Thousands of climbers have made their way to the Margherita peak, where there is always snow like in the polar regions of the world. Reaching the top is a feat in itself, traversing impressive treacherous terrain of numerous ecosystems that cuts through dense montane forest to snow-capped peaks. Along the trail, one will see unique vegetation, glacial river premedes, and wonderful features. Its beautiful! It is like a summary of the land here and this is what has attracted famous people to the Rwenzori, one of them, the Italian Duke of Abruzzi took pictures in 1906 and wrote a book that would make the Rwenzori world famous.

But the Rwenzoris didn’t have to be advertised to be famous because it is the third highest mountain in Africa! At the foot of the hills is a vast expanse of natural tropical forest with chimpanzees, monkeys and baboons. There are also many varieties of birds, it is a good destination for bird watching, chimpanzee tracking and community walks.
