Oscar Juicer Review – Is it worth the money?

admin 0

This review is about the Oscar juicer, the Oscar Vitalmax juicer, and the Oscar 900 juicer. The Oscar Living Juicer is a completely different machine, as this review has nothing to do with that juicer.

One of Oscar Juicer’s big selling points is that the juice is cold-pressed and therefore contains more nutrients. In our opinion, this is reason enough in itself to rate this juicer highly. Many people drink fruits and vegetables for health reasons, so it makes sense to choose a juicer that produces juice with the highest levels of nutrients and enzymes. The Oscar definitely checks this box.

Another thing we like about Oscar Juicer is its appearance. Most juicers just look ugly and we would be embarrassed to have them on display in our kitchen. But the Oscar is different. It comes in white, black and chrome. I had a chrome colored one for years and it matched our other appliances perfectly. It is also elegant in shape and easy to carry. There’s a black model available now, and if I were shopping now, this is the color I’d go for. It looks super sexy. It’s not something you can say about most other juicers.

So, appearance aside, how well does this juicer actually work? One of the things I look for in a juicer is that it is easy to assemble, disassemble and clean. If you’re juicing multiple times a day, the last thing you want is to mess around with these things. The Oscar gets top marks here and couldn’t be easier to put together, take apart and clean. I only wash the pieces under a running tap. The juice screen needs a bit of a brush, but the entire cleaning process only takes me about a minute.

In addition to making juices, I like to make fruit sorbets and Oscar is also great at making them. My favorite is the mango sorbet. I cut the mango into pieces small enough to fit in the sprout, then froze them. Then whenever I’m in the mood for a sorbet, I just put the blank screen in place of the juice screen on the juicer and put the frozen mango chunks in the machine. I get a delicious sorbet in minutes. And the best part is there’s no added sugar or other nasty ingredients; simply 100% pure fruit. You can save time by making the straw in bulk and storing it in your freezer.

So is there any downside? Having used the machine for many years, I would say that the only small downside is that the screens can sometimes break with very heavy use. But if you’re careful this shouldn’t happen.
