With just about everything selling on eBay, you may want to do a little research on what is selling well or what is in demand.

One way to see what products are “hot” is to do an internet search for eBay’s hot items list.

Once you get your results, be sure to click on a link that will take you to eBay.com, that way you can be sure to see the original listing.

What is the Hot List?

It’s a large pdf file compiled from recent eBay data queries like, most searched, best sold, etc. They sort words and phrases by eBay category.

This information can be very useful when looking to sell.

They also have it broken down so you can see the different festivities. Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day and of course Christmas.

Another place to do research on eBay is to take a look at complete listings after the holidays.

Click the advanced link next to the search box, type in the item you would sell, and click the box next to Full Listings.

Items in red mean they were not sold, items in green are sold for that amount.

Remember, use the active list and full listings as a starting point, not an end point. Further research on eBay can help you decide if selling after Christmas would be better for you and your product.
