The best action you can take on your own is to brush your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste and use a fluoride mouthwash every day. If you still feel pain after a period of time, it is time to visit the dentist.
3. Bleeding gums should be of particular concern to older people experiencing this dental problem. This condition can be a predictor of more serious health conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. It can also progress to a more serious dental condition called periodontal disease.
All seniors should be on the lookout for bleeding gums and make an appointment with the dentist to be on the safe side.
