By having this dish, you have to prepare a lot of ingredients. Here are the following things to prepare:

Ingredients:

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup cooking oil

3 cups of water

12 ounces fully cooked smoked hot dogs, cut into 3/4 ″ pieces

12 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs, cut into 3/4 “pieces)

1 package (10 ounces) frozen whole okra, partially thawed and cut into 1/2-inch slices

1 cup onion, minced

1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped

1/2 cup of chopped celery

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon of pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

3 cups of hot cooked rice

After you have all the things you need for your crockpot chicken recipe, you need to follow certain things you need to complete the dish. Follow all these steps one by one:

Addresses:

1. For the roux, in a heavy 2-quart saucepan, mix the flour and oil until smooth. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir constantly for about 15 more minutes or until a dark reddish-brown roux forms. Cool.

2. Place water in a slow cooker. Stir in the roux. Add sausage, chicken, okra, onion, sweet pepper, celery, garlic, salt, pepper, and ground red bell pepper. Cover; simmer 6 to 7 hours or high for 3 to 3-1 / 2 hours.
