Convert your HTML to PDF

admin 0

I spent a lot of time researching how to convert HTML to PDF. I want to turn our blog into a good document to publish on the Internet. I also didn’t want to pay anything, I wanted it to be fast and I needed it to be simple so anyone could do it. The most important criteria for me was that I wanted it to include all my blog links as well. I found three different ways and you can choose the easiest one for you.

THE EASIEST WAY TO CONVERT HTML TO PDF

The easiest way I found was converters that actually downloaded to your computer like a printer. There were quite a few out there. I tried Cutewriter, Free PDF and PDFR. They all worked similarly. You downloaded their run file and they would add a printer to their printer list. When I wanted to convert the HTML, I would just select file/print and choose the printer they installed. The file would be saved to your computer and you would be ready to go. Although I liked it because it was free, simple and fast, I couldn’t find one that would also save my links and photos from my blog. Basically, these converters were for people who just wanted a document from any web page to save and print for others. They were not interested in the links or images. Therefore this would not work for me.

CONVERT HTML TO PDF WITH LINKS

I found quite a few websites that would automatically convert HTML to PDF just by typing the URL you wanted to convert. The sites I tried were PDFcrowd, PDFmyurl, novaPDF, print friendly, and many others. Print friendly was the best, but I would only create a PDF of the text on my blog. It looked great if you just wanted to print the blog article, but it wasn’t good enough if you wanted the banners that were on the blog. I ran into the same problems with the others as well. Most of them were advertised as free converters, but when I used their conversions and saved them, I ran into challenges. Some would download a perfect PDF document, but if you don’t pay their monthly subscriptions, they will put watermarks on your PDF. The most common watermark was at the bottom of their pages and it looked very unprofessional. The other challenge if you didn’t pay was that its format was original. Either their pages were too small, or they removed their formatting entirely. The converter that was recommended to me was Zinepal. I spent a lot of time formatting the document and thought I had it all figured out. I saved the file and realized that all the formatting I did was for nothing. They had a banner ad at the top of the PDF file saying that unless you pay for their subscription, the banner would appear on every PDF document and you wouldn’t be able to format the document either. Which meant a lot of wasted time and he still didn’t have what he wanted. The good thing about Zinepal was that it was the cheapest. Still, I didn’t want to have to pay for it.

THE HTML TO PDF CONVERTER THAT WORKED FOR ME

Finally, I found an HTML to PDF converter that worked for me. The website is http://www.HTML-to-PDF.net/free-online-PDF-converter.aspx. All you have to do is copy and paste its URL, it will create your PDF and you can save it directly to your computer. The PDF document looked exactly like my blog page and kept all of its links. The only glitch for me was the length of the PDF document. Some of our blogs are long and would end up being 2-3 pages. I found a PDF splitter to break the last page. The website for that is http://www.ilovePDF.com/split_PDF. It is also very simple. Just enter the PDF document you want to split and a new document is created for you. The only glitch I found was that when you downloaded the new PDF document to your computer, it was a zip file. If you don’t have a zip file reader on your computer, you can simply google for a free zip file reader and you should be able to find a good one.
