Beautiful Bellini cribs

Bellini is an Italian company that has been manufacturing cribs for more than 25 years. A Bellini crib is considered of excellent quality with a subtle and slightly modern style. Its flagship Isabella crib is representative of this European background in design and craftsmanship.

Some products simply seem to catch on as ‘designer desirable’ among the rich and famous, as well as ordinary people, who clamor to buy. Bellini cribs seem to be one of those must-have designer items. Like many fashion products, it is expensive. And they have a low-key style that is highly desirable. Celebrities like Miranda Hobbs (Sex and the City) have bought one and a Bellini nursery makeover was featured in Diane Keaton’s hit movie, “Baby Boom.”

But there is more to a Bellini crib than style. All Bellini cribs come with the JPMA (Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association) safety certification. Regardless of the brand you buy, you need to make sure that it has this certification. This ensures that they will meet a minimum set of security requirements. But you also get additional security features, like a flip side release that can be used with one hand; It is a safe two-step mechanism to prevent accidental release. They are made of solid beech wood and are sturdy and well-made furniture.

Here’s a quick rundown of the models on offer.

Isabella Crib: Bellini’s exclusive crib that has a simple design, with a gently rounded headboard and footboard. The slats are simple and unadorned and are located on all four sides. Comes with a storage drawer and four removable beavers; two wheels can be locked. It comes in three finishes; white, brown and natural.

Annie Crib – Has a subtle echo of a sleigh crib but with a more open and airy slat design. A very beautiful feature is the arched solid wood slats that they have. There are four finishes available; white, antique white, brown and natural.

Vanessa Crib: Looks more like a traditional sleigh bed than the Annie. Its style is that of a solid solid wood headboard and footboard, both slightly curved and with inlaid moldings. Finished in: Antique White, White, Brown, or Mahogany.

Ruby Crib – is for those who want that old world charm in the nursery. The headboard and footboard are arched and adorned with a wooden scrollwork appliqué. The lower part of the crib features graceful curves. A very feminine piece. It is finished in; antique white, mahogany or brown.

Danny Crib: another creation that evokes times of yesteryear. This is for those who want a crib with a canopy. They are delicately carved in wood and the spindles are fully turned. There are five finishes available; white, aged white, mahogany, brown and natural.

Alexander Crib / Bed – Can be converted from a crib to a full size bed. You get one drop down side rail, and the other forms the headboard when used as a bed. Like Isabella, you get four removable beavers. It comes in four finishes; mahogany, white, brown and natural.

Bella Crib Bed: Like the Alexander, can be converted to a full-size bed. It features a sleek bonnet shape with carved wood accents. The posts have spindles. There are no beavers with this model. You can choose from four finishes; white, aged white, brown and mahogany.

A Bellini crib has the quality of an heirloom. They may not be perfect; Many would say that all but two of the models are crib only and cannot be converted to double beds, while for half the price you can buy another brand that converts and is of the same quality. And there is a lot of excitement around Bellini. Celebrity and television endorsements shouldn’t influence what we buy, but they do.

But, even without the hype and despite the comparative high cost of a Bellini, there is no getting around the fact that Bellini cribs are quality children’s furniture pieces.
