Apple iPhone 5 Review and Features
The iPhone 5 is almost the same smartphone as the previous iPhone 4s. It’s slimmer with a faster processor! This iconic phone just got a little better, it’s much more refined due to the larger front screen trend and slimmer profile. As an iPhone user, I was curious to see how the new iPhone 5 compared to the previous version. How can this new generation iPhone be even better and faster in just a short period of time? Can the good folks at Apple come up with something visionary or will they continue to give us the same old stuff with a few extra features? This was a great challenge to conquer. The iPhone 5 is a much better phone from the bottom up. Instead of reviewing this new iPhone model, I think it makes sense to give you my honest opinion from a real customer.
First of all, the only thing you will notice right away is how light the phone is. Nearly 20% lighter with a much larger surface area, making it feel even lighter. This iPhone 5 doesn’t feel cheap at all, taking us back to the original days of the metal back. It has changed in several ways, such as the size of the screen, the design of the charging connector, the distance between the earpiece and the screen at the bottom. Instead of a glass back, it’s now made of aluminum, just like the mac pro! It is much more solid and you can feel the quality of craftsmanship built into this motto.
The headphone jack used to be at the top of the iPhone, but in the new iPhone 5 it’s moved to the bottom. I’m not sure if that really made sense because now if you put the phone in a cup holder in the car it will have to be upside down but when you pick it up it will be easier to use right away. The new setup had something more to do with the actual internals and how they fit in with the old design. Apple was able to make this new model slimmer just by moving this accessory. Another important change is the new connector. It’s called lightning and it’s very small and reversible. It’s more solid and won’t break as often. These two changes allowed Apple to make the iPhone 5 thinner.
There is an adapter available from Apple to add to turn your existing cable into an extension to fit the new iPhone 5. They cost $30 and will be available soon.
The latest changes are the new nano sim card slot, which introduces a new sim card again. Improved speakers and microphones are also added to the changes. Crystal clear speakers are clear and distortion free. They have 3 microphones to help with video recording and noise cancellation.
As far as I’m concerned, this new iPhone 5 is almost twice as fast as its previous models, and the difference is immediate and pronounced. Using the web, it launches instantly, saving images is also instant, adding to an overall better experience. A new LTE network adds to the speed of the new iPhone 5. Now you can take panoramic photos and a better shake stabilizer when shooting 1080p videos.
This new iPhone is more than numbers and specs, it’s everything that embodies the Apple brand. It represents the best of the best in features and materials, which justifies its first place as a leader in the new generation of smartphones.
