Fatal Choice Written by Charles E Rickard

“Fatal Choice” is an excellent awakening of the United States seen through the eyes of the author. It is scary, alarming, awakens your eyes, provokes thoughts and a look at your possible future life in the United States. Charles Rickard does not take prisoners or hold back his blows. I read Fatal Choice with an open mind not knowing how bad or good things would get as the story unfolds in the near past, present, and most of all, the future. As you read from the first page, I guarantee you will shake your head as to how our nation is now playing for some of the actions that Mr. Rickard described. Some of the thoughts of the authors may be extended, but how do we, the citizens of the United States, know what awaits us when we see that there are so many laws of our nation, or that they try to change them drastically? We don’t, which makes the descriptive actions of the authors so concerning. Liberals and conservatives and anyone in between should read this book with an open mind and then decide how possible the scenarios in Fatal Choice might be.

The prologue gives us a good read on what to expect when a strange incident occurs in Dallas right after a wedding attended by many important officials. When the wedding party left the church, there were a lot of murders until they all died. This leads to what happens in the book. President Madison was a president who acted as if he were a dictator, not a president of the largest republic in the world. What he said or thought had to be so, and those who objected would find themselves isolated from the government or possibly even six feet underground. He had been easing the nation in its ways for some time. He had those he considered close to him, those he was unsure of, and those who had to be eliminated who still wanted our nation as it should be. I am not going to fill this review with names. I choose to tell the story of what is happening rather than give it more names to distinguish.

There were those who recognized what Madison was doing and tried local, area and national organizations to try to combat the government takeover that constantly robbed citizens of their freedom, even elected officials if they disagreed with Madison. The cabinet members meant nothing except their Madison orders rubber stamp. Madison also controlled law enforcement or, in some cases, had no power. Madison hired private agencies to enforce its methods. The media was reduced to various newspapers and various radio and television networks, and even these were further reduced until only Madison’s word was published for people to hear. No government was effective for freedom-loving citizens, only the Madison government. His thugs were there to control everything and everyone. Eyes and ears were everywhere. Privacy disappeared just like people’s actions.

Some of those who were fighting Madison were slowly organizing themselves with a lot of secrecy and with some methods that were used in previous years because all new communications were blocked. Some areas of the United States were able to organize themselves better, primarily because of the ability of people in that area to come up with ideas on how to organize themselves safely, or in the safest way possible. Various nations helped those who opposed Madison in every way possible. Canada and Mexico were of utmost importance with their contiguous locations. This still did not mean that the “subway” was safe. Many times they were discovered in one way or another and were eliminated. A well-known man, George Barnes, who had been so well known and loved with his news broadcast, went to work broadcasting messages and news through a very secret communications setup. It was almost impossible to stop the network due to its many areas within and outside the nation.

Don’t connect too much with your heroes while reading. They may not appear in the next chapter. I think by now you have the essence of this powerful book. The irony of this is that much of the aforementioned topic has been going on or seems set to happen. Our nation is a great place to grow up and raise a family. We have freedoms that many people on earth can only dream of having. They have never known what the word means. If we don’t fight for what we have, people like President Madison could take over our nation and take away our freedoms before we know it. Don’t let your government control you in its own way.

Thank you Charles Rickard for this cautionary book. I am looking forward to the next book and can only hope that this first book will wake us all up.
